Hyundai's premium division Genesis, after all its promises, will finally start presenting its products on the European market this summer. The brand's sedans and crossovers should counterbalance the likes of Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi.
Current Genesis G90
If the first batch of models presented in Europe will include such cars as the Genesis G80, GV80, G70 and GV70 in the current generation, the flagship G90 sedan will arrive in a new generation, the development of which the manufacturer is currently engaged in. "Spy" photos of the future novelty have already been published on the Web several times. Today there is a fresh portion of such images, in which the sedan is just being tested on European roads. The car in the photo really looks big and premium, and it shows through even through camouflage.
New Genesis G90
In Europe, the model is set to compete with bestsellers such as the BMW 7-Series, Audi A8 and Mercedes S-Class. Pictured here is a prototype equipped with oversized Y-shaped intricate alloy wheels. The body has a fair amount of camouflage. However, it seems that the new generation model will be longer than its predecessor.
Judging by the photo, in the front there will also be headlights with “two lines”. This is the proprietary design of the manufacturer. The rear optics will have a similar design. Speaking of the stern, we note that in these photos you can also see that the dual exhaust is fully consistent with the current generation model. The manufacturer decided not to change it.
Previously released photos indicated that some significant changes will also take place in the car's interior. And besides that, rumors also point to upgrades under the hood of the sedan. Thus, the model of the new generation will no longer be equipped with an "atmospheric" 5.0-liter V8. Instead, the manufacturer intends to install a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 V6, which is rated at 380 hp. and 530 N * m of torque.
Camouflage should fly off the model in the near future, since the manufacturer will put the car on sale in the domestic market at the end of this year. The all-electric version of the Genesis G90 is rumored to arrive in 2022.
