Citroen has officially unveiled the new DS4 hatchback, which stands out to many from other products of the French brand. Thus, the car received original lamps, designed in the style of Lexus. The new DS4 is based on the EMP2 platform on which the latest models of the brands Citroen, Peugeot and Opel are based. The latter displays information on the current speed and other information on the road, and also monitors the direction of the markings, which reduces the likelihood of driving out of the lane at night. The new DS4 received over 10 different security systems and driver assistants. In addition, the car is equipped with a second level autopilot capable of taking control when driving in traffic jams. There is also premium acoustics with 21 speakers.

It is stated that the new DS4 is equipped with three supercharged engines that develop up to 130, 180 and 225 hp. power. Available to the French hatchback and branded turbodiesel with a maximum output of 130 hp. Each of these powertrains is combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the DS4 will enter the market with a hybrid installation, which includes a turbo engine with a return of 180 hp. and one 110 hp electric motor. Together, they produce up to 225 hp. The built-in battery provides an electric range of 50 kilometers. The new DS4 will go on sale in the European market in the fourth quarter of 2021 and there it will be a serious competitor to the low-cost Mercedes-Benz and BMW models. The appearance of this model in Russia has not yet been reported.
