Just a few days ago, Chinese spies managed to photograph the new GAC AION V Plus. The model has undergone another platform upgrade, but this time it has received major changes both in terms of external design and interior. And now, finally, there was official information about the launch of sales of new items. The GAC AION V Plus will hit showrooms on September 29th.
The body design has been significantly improved and even got its own name. The manufacturer named this skin "Star Wars Warhead". What can we say, but the novelty looks really futuristic. Of course, it will be problematic to imagine that Darth Vader is driving this crossover, but nevertheless, the impression is created as from a car from the future. At first glance, the GAC AION V Plus might appear to be made from a single piece of aluminum. Instead of a radiator grill, there is only a small air vent at the bottom of the bumper. The door handles are retractable and the headlights look like this car is about to speak R2D2 to you.
If we compare the GAC AION V Plus with the current design style "Mecha Beast", then the new product looks much more exotic, modern and gives the impression that the body has exemplary aerodynamics. Seen from the side, the body of the model is very reminiscent of the previous version with its "floating" roof and two-tone five-spoke wheels. If desired, the coloring can be changed. In addition to the color of bare aluminum, the manufacturer will offer two shades: Symphony Extreme Purple and Star Man Green.
The rear part of the body has changed noticeably in detail. For example, the design of the headlights changed its vertical position to horizontal. In addition, the lights are slightly smaller. The update looks amazing, especially when you notice how the taillights blend seamlessly into the door handles.
Inside, in comparison with the old model, where one small screen was placed on the front panel, now there are two at once. It is too early to judge how convenient it is, but it looks impressive. The steering wheel has a two-spoke design and multimedia controls tightly packed into two small blocks. In the center is a 15.6-inch display with very narrow bezels at the edges. The picture is just excellent, not worse than on modern tablets. And inside it has a huge variety of different functions.
In terms of power, the new GAC AION V Plus will come with three different battery capacities. But at the moment, alas, only approximate characteristics of the batteries have been announced, which are 70 kW / h, 80 kW / h and 95 kW / h. The car will have three versions with a range of 500 km, 600 km and 702 km.
