GAC GS8 belongs to a group of Chinese vehicles that are able to impose competition on Japanese and other popular models in the market. In particular, this crossover can be called a direct rival to the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. But despite the above, the GAC GS8 is not yet very popular in Russia. However, in the home market, the car is sold quite often. And soon sales of the new generation GAC GS8 will start in China.

This is evidenced by recent pictures of the crossover in one of the dealerships. To date, the GAC has not yet announced the exact date of the start of sales of its new product. But this will probably happen before the end of August.
The Chinese crossover has retained a 7-seater cabin layout and an angular body. But in the course of the generational change, the car has seriously changed. So, he received a larger grille with an original pattern formed by many small metal strips. The head optics have also become larger. Moreover, it now seems to "flow" down and is complemented by four rectangular lights. At the stern of the Chinese novelty, large lights appeared, shaped like those that are installed on the Kia Mohave.

According to previously published information, the wheelbase of the new 4876 mm GAC GS8 is 2800 mm, width is 1910 mm, height - 1770 mm. The ground clearance reaches 220 mm. Complete with the Chinese model, only a 2-liter turbocharged engine will be offered, which is combined with an 8-speed "automatic". Its declared power does not exceed 190 hp. A hybrid version of the GAC GS8 with the same 2.0-liter turbo engine at the base will be released later on the market.
The configuration and prices of the Chinese model have not yet been published. But it is known that the GAC will offer a three-zone climate control system, adaptive cruise, all-round cameras and panoramic windows with the GS8.
