Chinese automaker GAC has officially announced the start of sales of the new Trumpchi Shadow Leopard sedan. The model received four configurations, and its price starts in the ruble equivalent of 1, 13 million and ends at 1.5 million. In addition, the automaker offers to take advantage of some privileges, namely the new Trumpchi Smart Choice service. It is a test drive, with the help of which it will be possible to understand what kind of equipment is right for the driver. In addition, with the purchase of a car, a free three-year access to entertainment services is provided.
The Shadow Leopard is the company's first sedan built on the Trumpchi GPMA platform. The appearance of the model can be of two types, depending on the configuration. The front end has a huge hexagonal radiator grille with straight vertical lines, along the edges of which are sharp chopped headlights with LED strips. They will be available as standard.
In "maximum speed" the lattice is somewhat different. In addition to the flowing stripes, it has decorative elements in the shape of fangs, which adds aggressiveness and sportiness. From the rear, the car does not look like a sedan, but rather resembles a fastback in the manner of the Korean Kia K5. The dimensions of the model are as follows: length, width and height are 4700/1850/1432 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2736 mm. In the older trim levels, there will be decorative elements trimmed with carbon inserts. They will be installed on mirror housings and brake calipers.
It is also interesting that the exhaust sound can be changed in the car. Something similar is used in the Germans. In addition, the interior has a digital instrument panel that is integrated with the multimedia system, which looks very futuristic. Despite being a compact sedan, it can easily accommodate a tall person, which is usually not found on Asian cars.
The new car is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 177 horsepower. It works together with a seven-speed "robot" with two clutches. In the future, the appearance of a two-liter turbo engine is not excluded. A McPherson-type suspension is used at the front and rear, which is generally a rarity for this type of car. Most often, either a multi-link or a torsion beam is used at the stern.
