A few days ago, the Chinese automaker GAC officially announced the new version of the GS4 Plus crossover, and also announced the price at which the new product will be available from dealers. Now it became known that the restyled version of the SUV, the first generation of which domestic motorists know under the name GS5, is on sale.
It is known that during the renovation, the SUV was equipped with new head optics, bumpers revised in terms of design, as well as a more powerful radiator grille. The design of the rear lights has also changed, which are now combined into a common unit due to the LED insert.
In addition, a number of changes are made to the interior of the Chinese cross. Now the car is equipped with a virtual instrument panel with a digital display, modern multimedia, access to the functionality of which is opened through a large touchscreen. Gear shifting of the transmission is carried out using an electronic selector.
The dimensions of the updated version of the GAC GS4 Plus are 4710x1885x1726 mm, and its distance between the axles is 2710 mm. Under the hood of the restyled variation of the cross, one of two engines is installed: a 1.5-liter engine producing 169 horsepower, or a 2-liter internal combustion engine, the efficiency of which reaches 252 hp. Both units are supplemented with a turbine, which explains the decent level of their power indicators.
Transmission selection is not provided. In any configuration, the crossover relies on a 6-speed automatic transmission from Aisin. The leading drive can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The price for the new version of the crossover in the home car market starts at 1.5 million rubles in terms of the currency of the Russian Federation. It is expected that the VW Tiguan rival in Russia may debut in 2022.
