The Chinese company GAC has published more detailed information about its updated crossover GS4 Plus, which the manufacturer is positioning as an excellent alternative to the already proven Hyundai Tucson. In addition to the announcement of its technical data, prices and the official start date of the pre-order of the new model were also disclosed. According to this information, it will be possible to buy a crossover starting from June 30. The car will be offered to customers in three main trim levels: Base for 135,000 yuan (1.5 million rubles), Galaxy for 139,000 yuan (1.55 million rubles) and Nebula for 146,000 yuan (1.63 million rubles). Each of these versions has excellent equipment. In addition, the top-end variation is equipped with a more powerful engine.
The updated model looks quite attractive not only in terms of the price range, but also in terms of appearance. The front end meets its future owner with a massive grille and full LED headlights. The former features vertical chrome strips, while the LED DRLs create an “X” effect when viewed from the front. By the way, if we talk about LED headlights, they are supplied immediately in the basic configuration, and are also equipped with a light sensor and a system for automatically switching from high-beam to low-beam lighting.
The GAC GS4 Plus is a mid-size crossover with the following dimensions: length - 4710 mm, width - 1885 mm, height - 1726 mm. At the same time, the size of the wheelbase of the model is marked at the level of 2710 mm. The Chinese crossover is equipped with 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels with a multi-spoke pattern as standard. The rubber on them can be made by Giti or Continental at the buyer's choice. Rear end also comes with “Phoenix” style LED optics as standard
The Base version gets a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment complex. The main differences between the trim levels are that in the cheaper variants the model does not receive an intelligent multimedia control system.
With regard to the power unit, the first two versions of the model are equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, which is tuned to 169 hp. and 265 N * m of torque. The top modification is powered by a 2.0-liter engine, which is also equipped with a turbocharger. It generates 250 hp. and 390 N * m of torque. Both options are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
