The Chinese auto company GAC has released official photos and also revealed some information about the updated GS8 crossover. This car can be called a direct competitor to the KIA Mohave, although its cost should be significantly lower. The current generation GAC GS8 is now available in China at a price of 156,000 yuan (1.7 million rubles).

Outwardly, this 7-seater crossover looks quite stylish, technologically advanced and luxurious. Major upgrades to the revamped version were concentrated at the front of the GS8. A completely new V-shaped grille with a three-dimensional effect is installed here, while the headlights located on either side of it are practically unchanged, except for their internal configuration.
Considering the side profile of the crossover, it should be said that the so-called "floating" roof stands out in it. By the way, a huge panoramic sunroof with a servo is installed here. The body of the model along the lower part is surrounded by a protective plastic body kit, which is also present on the wheel arches. The machine is equipped with large alloy wheels with a star pattern.
The rear of the crossover is still quite recognizable. A small dark spoiler is installed above the windshield, and the LED optics are patterned in the shape of the number 8. By the way, its dimensions have also been reduced. The trapezoidal tailpipes of the exhaust system are integrated into the diffuser below. The general dimensions of the body of the novelty are: length - 4980 mm, width - 1950 mm, height - 1780 mm. The wheelbase is 2920 mm. Thanks to such dimensions, as well as modern design solutions, this Chinese crossover looks really brutal and courageous.
In addition, early speculations that the GAC GS8 will receive a hybrid powertrain have been confirmed. Thus, the engine range will consist of a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with a capacity of 251 hp. and 390 Nm of torque, as well as the fourth generation THS hybrid system from Toyota. The characteristics of this setup have not yet been disclosed.
