GAC has announced the official start of sales of the new electric sedan Aion S Plus, which, both in terms of size and positioning in the market, can become a direct competitor to the Toyota Camry. At the same time, the Chinese novelty is equipped exclusively with electric motors and is offered at a price of 139.6 thousand yuan (1.57 million rubles). The top version of the sedan costs 172.6 thousand yuan (1.94 million rubles).
The Chinese novelty attracts attention not only with its non-standard appearance and original LED optics. All its important features are hidden under the body. The interior of the electric sedan provides comfortable seats with leather upholstery. The front seats are complemented by electric drive and heating. The dashboard is presented by default as a screen located under an unusual visor. On top of the center console, the manufacturer has installed a huge, TV-like touchscreen tablet through which almost all on-board electronics can be configured.
Another feature of the Chinese novelty is that in the top-end versions it is equipped with 1, 9-meter panoramic glazing, made of a material that does not allow up to 99.9% of the sun's rays to pass through. The wide, GAC-style transmission tunnel of the Aion S Plus contains only a large washer for selecting driving modes.
Complete with the Chinese model, there are 3 options for power plants. By default, the car is equipped with a 136 hp electric motor. Optionally, the Aion S Plus gets a choice of 204 and 224 horsepower electric motors. Also, the electric sedan is equipped with three different batteries, providing a cruising range of 410, 510 and 602 kilometers, respectively.
