GAC has announced the start of sales of the new GS4 Plus crossover. This model is still available only in the Chinese market at prices ranging from 135 thousand (1.52 million rubles) to 146.6 thousand (1.65 million rubles) yuan. Shipping samples of the GAC GS4 Plus will begin in the third quarter (photo: autohome.com.cn). In the market, it will compete with the Hyundai Tucson.
The crossover after the planned modernization has radically changed in appearance. The car received a new radiator grill with "falling" vertical sipes, which give the Chinese model a more "evil" look. The GAC has fitted the GS4 Plus with broken headlamps with LED headlights. The lower bumper is equipped with triangular, vertically oriented cutouts for ventilation holes, in which additional lights are visible.
In profile, the Chinese model looks larger than its predecessor. Thanks to the effect of a "floating" roof, which slowly slopes towards the rear, the crossover has acquired a sportier shape. Elongated LED lights appeared at the stern of the novelty, and the bumper was replenished with cutouts resembling diffusers.
The GAC GS4 Plus has a premium interior. This is underlined by the large touchscreen display integrated in a separate unit that curves into the transmission tunnel. A similar solution was previously implemented in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The Chinese model comes with an interactive intelligent communication system between the driver and the built-in electronics. Its full functionality has not yet been revealed.
The new GAC GS4 Plus is powered by a single 2-liter turbocharged engine. Its declared maximum output reaches 252 hp. with a torque of 390 N * m. This motor is combined only with a 6-band manual transmission.
