American auto brand Ford is preparing an update for one of the most popular cars - the Focus hatchback. On the eve of the photo spies managed to photograph a novelty. Curiously, the debut photos were taken not during Focus test drives at one of the European race tracks, but on public roads.
The current version of the model
According to the authors of the images, not only the classic version of the hatchback, but also its "charged" version was taken out for tests (photo: motor1.com). Judging by those places of the body, which have applied camouflage protection, the American hatch will receive changes in the front end, as well as in the stern area. It is already visually noticeable that the car was equipped with a new, more compact radiator grill, as well as a narrowed head optics. Also, noticeable changes should occur with the bumpers of the "American".
New Ford Focus
In addition to the quite clear changes that will occur with the exterior of the hatchback, experts managed to find out what innovations await the power characteristics of the updated Ford Focus. It is reported that the model will receive several engine options. In the database, the developer will offer a 1-liter turbo engine that produces 123 horsepower.
For lovers of economy, Ford will provide the opportunity to choose a model with a diesel unit of 1, 5 or 2 liters for 153 and 182 "horses", respectively. The most productive unit will be a 2.3-liter turbo engine producing 280 hp. Details on what powertrain options will be offered for the hatchback are not yet available. It is also not clear if there will be any changes to the interior of the updated car.
