Brutal SUVs have been in great demand at all times and the Ford Bronco 2022 is no exception in this case. The car has been on the market for a long time. True, for some time he left the conveyor line, but last year he returned again. The model is still available only for North American buyers in 7 modifications, where the cost of the base one starts from 28.5 dollars or 2.091 million rubles (in accordance with the Russian exchange rate). The car is equipped with two possible power plants, paired with either an automatic or a manual transmission. In addition to the bright brutal appearance, the SUV boasts rich equipment and good cross-country ability.

Specifications

To date, the 2022 Ford Bronco is available for pre-ordering. As for the start of free sales of the model, this information has not yet been provided. The SUV is offered in seven trim levels, differing in available equipment, as well as a power unit. The price of the basic version starts at 2.091 million rubles. As mentioned above, the car attracts attention with quite good technical characteristics, a new body, a high level of safety and cross-country ability, as well as a brutal design, which can be found in the photos presented in this review.

There are two possible engines for an SUV. For basic modifications of the car, a gasoline four-cylinder turbocharged unit with a working volume of 2.3 liters is offered. The motor power reaches 270 horsepower with a thrust equal to 420 N * m. This engine is combined with either a seven-speed manual transmission or a ten-speed automatic transmission. As for the drive, all four wheels are involved, as befits a real SUV. The second unit is an M-shaped engine with twin turbocharging technology. Its volume corresponds to 2.7 liters, and the output reaches 310 horsepower with a torque of 542 N * m.

The 2022 Ford Bronco is based on a frame architecture that features independent McPherson struts at the front and multi-link at the rear. The values of the main parameters largely depend on the vehicle version. The model is available not only in a five-seater version, but also with a three-seater cabin. So, for the first option, the dimensions correspond to 4 813x2014x1 999 mm (length, width and height, respectively), and for the second - 4 412x2 014x1 826 mm. The center-to-center space for the short version is 2,550 mm, and for the long version it is 2,946 mm. The weight of an SUV also depends on the number of seats and equipment, being in the range of 1,460-1,650 kilograms. The ground clearance of the model is 211-213 mm. The trunk can hold up to 668 liters of cargo in the standard position, but with the seats folded down, the volume increases to 2,197 liters. Fuel tank capacity - 64/79 liters.

Options and prices

Ford Bronco 2022 is still only available for pre-order in seven different modifications, where the cost of the base one starts from 2.091 million rubles. As mentioned above, the SUV can be purchased in either a three- or five-seater version, as well as with two possible power plants and transmissions.

Base

This modification of the car is considered basic, where the standard equipment is provided, which is available for all other versions. In this version, the model can be offered with two possible powertrains and gearboxes. As for the available options, here are provided:

• head optics with LED filling and built-in light sensor;
• fog lights on the rear bumper;
• external mirrors with electric adjustment and heating function;
• 16-inch steel rims;
• electric power steering multifunctional steering wheel, which can also be adjusted in height and reach;
• interior fabric trim;
• dashboard with 8-inch color monitor;

• the ability to access the salon without a key;

• air conditioning system;
• airbags front and side;
• socket in the cabin;
• tire pressure monitoring sensor;

Big bend

The second configuration on the list includes the equipment available for the basic modification, as well as a number of additional options. The latter include alloy wheels, the size of which has already been increased to 17 inches. Fog lights in this case come with diode lamps, and a wiper is available for the rear window. The steering wheel cover is made of high quality leather.

Black diamond

In this version, the SUV is also available with two power plants and transmissions, as well as the equipment provided for the first two modifications. Of the additional options here, it is worth noting the trim of the entire interior with leather and the appearance of tow hooks, which are located not only on the front bumper, but also on the rear.

Badlands

The SUV in this version is equipped with matrix-type LED daytime running lights and a Band & Olufsen sound system. For the latter, by the way, there is a subwoofer and ten built-in speakers. The infotainment complex here is equipped with a 12-inch touchscreen monitor. There are no changes in the power equipment, as in the versions discussed above.

Outer Banks

There are also no changes regarding engines and gearboxes - both options are available. But the equipment offers additional options. So, the rims are increased to 18 inches, and the exterior mirrors are painted in the same color as the body itself.

Wildtrack

In this version, the SUV can only be purchased with a 2.7-liter engine and an automatic transmission. There are also changes in terms of equipment. The car is additionally available:

• fog lights with LED filling;
• lane control module;
• monitoring system for "blind" zones;
• engine activation button in the cabin;
• heating function for first row seats;
• climate control with two-zone control;
• side mirrors with automatic dimming.

First Edition

The power unit of the car in this configuration completely repeats the previous one, but there are some changes in the list of options. So, the SUV is additionally equipped with:

• navigation module;
• adaptive cruise control;
• electric drive for the first row of seats;
• turn signal repeaters built into the exterior mirrors;
• steering wheel heating function;
• parking sensors on the front and rear bumpers.

As mentioned above, the 2022 Ford Bronco is based on a frame architecture, which is characterized by a high level of stability and maneuverability in severe off-road conditions. Despite this, the SUV feels quite well on an asphalt road, ensuring the safety of all road users. The car is equipped with a large number of assistants and other sensors that monitor the condition of the vehicle. The cabin has airbags, seat belts and a number of other useful options. Overall, the SUV received a good rating in terms of protecting both the vehicle itself and the driver and passengers.

Handling and off-road performance

As for the management of the Ford Bronco, there will be no complaints from motorists. The SUV is adapted for use in any conditions, which implies a large number of sensors and driver assistance systems. The car responds quickly to steering, adjusting to any bend or straying out of a straight line. Moreover, many assistants are provided for this. Off-roading for an SUV is a native element, for which it was created. Advantages and disadvantages

Of course, in this case, it is quite difficult to find flaws, since the SUV is good from all sides. The first thing that I would like to note here is excellent handling and cross-country ability. I must say that Ford Bronco is valued precisely for these parameters. Also, the advantages of the model include the design - bright, brutal and modern. The salon offers not only a high-tech level of equipment, but also comfort and safety for all road users. The obvious disadvantages of the SUV include high fuel consumption and expensive maintenance, although all the characteristics of the car have not yet been disclosed.

Design

The appearance of the Ford Bronco was brought as close as possible to the first generation, which only increased the popularity of the model. Moreover, the SUV looks quite modern and stylish. It harmoniously combines brutal notes with technological and off-road solutions. The absolutely round head optics looks a little unusual against the background of square outlines. Of course, it is worth noting the dimensions of the model - this is a fairly large SUV that will definitely not leave anyone indifferent. In the same unusual style as the rest of the exterior, the radiator grille is decorated, where the word "BRONCO" is located. On the front and rear bumpers, you can see rather large tow hooks, emphasizing the masculine character of the performance.

The interior, on the other hand, demonstrates the classic design style, where the same rectangular lines are present as in the exterior. The center console is equipped with a fairly large touchscreen monitor of the infotainment complex, the same large dashboard, a three-spoke steering wheel, a neat block with built-in equipment control keys. The gearshift lever has received a standard version, which is harmoniously combined with the rest of the interior details. Ergonomic chairs provide comfort and convenience.

Sales start

Despite the fact that the manufacturer previously announced the start of sales of the SUV at the beginning of this year, the model is still only available for pre-order. By the way, a fairly large number of applications have already been received for the car, which the company will be able to fulfill no earlier than next year. In this regard, many experts expect the SUV to enter the market no earlier than 2022.

Ford Bronco has not yet gone on the free sale, but the main rivals that the model will face on the market are already known:
