The Chinese brand Tank, which is part of the Great Wall Corporation, presented its second model at a recent auto show in Chengdu. We are talking about the Tank 500 off-road vehicle. As it became known, the novelty will be offered on the market with two variants of power units. The first is a 2-liter turbine engine, which is paired with an 8-speed "automatic". As an alternative, the developer has provided for the possibility of installing a 3-liter 6-cylinder petrol engine. Its output reaches 354 horsepower, and the torque is 500 N * m. Together with him, an automatic transmission works at 9 speeds.
The dimensions of the new Tank 500 off-road vehicle are 4878x1934x1905 mm. Thus, it is comparable in size to the Japanese "frame" Land Cruiser Prado. The ground clearance of the Tank off-road vehicle is 224 mm, and due to the impressive exit / arrival angles, the car is able to overcome all kinds of obstacles and fords up to 800 mm. The SUV is all-wheel drive and is equipped with an electromagnetic clutch. By default, a rear differential lock is available, and as an option, you can also install a front differential.
The price of the new product is expected at the level of 3, 3-3, 57 million rubles in equivalent. By the way, experts predict that this model will reach the Russian car market, but this will happen after the debut of the "junior" Tank 300.
