The Chinese carmaker Great Wall has unveiled a brand new premium off-road vehicle, the Tank 500, which will be introduced to the market as a sub-brand of the company. Curious is the fact that the exterior of the model has ceased to be a secret last week. At that time, all experts believed that this vehicle would be brought to the market under the 600 index. However, it has now become clear that the new product will be called the Tank 500.
As it became known during the presentation, the SUV will be equipped with a new multimedia display with a 14.6 "display, and the instrument panel indicators will be displayed on a 12.3" screen. In addition, the automaker will offer 4-zone climate control and power front seats in the list of available options. The top-of-the-line version of the seven-seater Tank 500 will feature a bi-color leather interior and wood and aluminum inlays. A panoramic roof, matrix optics and a car parking system will also be available here.
As for the dimensions and characteristics of the SUV, its clearance level will be 224 mm, and the body dimensions - 5070x1934x1905 mm. These parameters will allow the Tank 500 to overcome off-road and ford, the depth of which reaches 800 mm.
Under the hood of the SUV, the developer will install a 3-liter turbo engine producing up to 354 horsepower. A pair for him will be a 9-speed automatic transmission. Also, the model will receive an all-wheel drive system. The Tank 500 also has center and cross-axle differential locking systems and a crawler gear. It is expected that the car will debut in China by the end of this year, but outside the home market, an SUV can be expected no earlier than next year.
