The Chinese company Ora, a sub-brand of Great Wall Motor, has officially unveiled the Good Cat GT city electric car, which can already be ordered. Initially, it was assumed that the price of new items would be from 140 to 150 thousand yuan, which in rubles is approximately 1.6-1.7 million rubles. However, the final cost will be announced a little later.
Good Cat GT is a new modification of the standard hatch. This version received a more powerful electric motor that produces 168 horsepower. The power reserve of the car will be 500 kilometers. According to company representatives, the car was named Mulan, exactly like the heroine of the cartoon of the same name, which symbolizes courage and self-confidence. The length, width and height of the new hatchback are 4254x1848x1596 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2650 mm.
Externally, the model is similar to the Volkswagen Beetle, only with a sporty bias. The interior of the car does not differ from the regular version. It is the embodiment of minimalism and functionality, which is emphasized by a large dual screen. It plays the role of both the instrument panel and the multimedia system. "Tidy" has a diagonal of 7.25 inches, and the infotainment complex - 10 inches. The climate control area is finished with silver metal inserts, and the interior itself, despite the futuristic design, nevertheless has hints of retro style.
Outside, the new electric car is very similar to the German Porsche Macan, only very small and without a radiator grill, since electric cars do not need it. The “Good Cat” (which is what the translated name sounds like) will be powered by a triple lithium-ion battery manufactured by Honeycomb Energy Technology Co., Ltd. with a capacity of 59, 1 kWh. The cruising range will be approximately 501 km.
