There are many different entry-level Hyundai crossovers sold around the world. Venue plays this role in the United States and Bayon in Europe. New images released this week by Hyundai show for the first time a flexible interior and second row of seats that can be moved forward and backward by 16 centimeters. In addition, the rear seats can recline 39 degrees. You can squeeze in items almost two meters long by folding both rows of seats. If the rear seats are moved as far forward as possible, the trunk will receive a cargo capacity of 301 liters.
Despite the miniature interior, Hyundai does not skimp on safety at all, because seven airbags are installed here at once, as well as a whole variety of different sensors. These range from lane keeping assist and forward collision warning to adaptive cruise control. The SUV also has a fully digital instrument panel and a large touchscreen, like the larger, more expensive models.
Under the pint-sized bonnet is a three-cylinder 1.0-liter naturally aspirated engine delivering 75 horsepower and 95 Nm of torque. There is also a more powerful 1.0-liter turbocharged unit with 100 hp. In this version, the SUV also gets a slightly different look through the use of a redesigned radiator grille to improve air intake.
Prices for Casper start at $ 12,000 (about 807 thousand rubles) for the most basic configuration with a small engine and rise to $ 16,000 (about 1.15 million rubles) for the flagship turbocharged version. Note that the price tags turned out to be slightly higher than previously expected. The car will go on sale at the end of September in South Korea, and in 2022 in India. There are reports that an all-electric version will be released in 2023, but this is not certain.
