It is reported that two new models will hit the market in the coming years. The Ioniq 6 car will be the first to arrive at the company's showrooms. According to preliminary data, it should debut at the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023. The manufacturer will finally announce the timing of the withdrawal of this car after it becomes clear how quickly the issue with the supply of missing electronic components for the production of new cars will be resolved.
The Ioniq 6 sedan will receive a medium size and will be the second car in the lineup, joining the already debuted Ioniq 5 crossover. The second novelty from the brand will be the Ioniq 7 SUV, which is scheduled to debut in 2024.
In addition, the company's management is seriously interested in the opportunity to expand the list of models produced under the Ioniq name by opening a line for the production of compact electric vehicles based on the E-GMP architecture. According to experts, this platform is quite promising. The characteristics of electric cars built on this "cart" have not yet been disclosed.
