About a month ago, renderings of the new Ioniq 5 electro-crossover in a "charged" version from N Perfomance from the Hyundai factory division appeared on the Web. Then it was suggested that the manufacturer would release such a modification. Now this information has received official confirmation: Hyundai has begun test drives of the new Ioniq 5 N.

New Ioniq 5 N

Remarkably, the Korean model was caught without protective camouflage. The photos show that the charged Ioniq 5 N comes with 21-inch wheels with tires that Hyundai typically uses on its high-performance cars (photo: drive.com.au). You can also notice that the Korean electric crossover had an underestimated ground clearance. The car received wider tires, and its wheels, located on the same axle, are now spaced further apart.

Another notable detail can be seen in the published photos: the Ioniq 5 N received bucket-shaped sports front seats. All this indicates that Hyundai engineers will change not only the appearance of the electric crossover, but also its technical part.

The characteristics of the new Ioniq 5 N are still unknown. But Hyundai has the opportunity to borrow the engine range from the previously debuted Kia EV6 GT. The second electric crossover is equipped with two electric motors, producing up to 585 hp in total. net power and 740 N * m of torque. The EV6 GT in this version accelerates to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds.

For the Ioniq 5 N, it is rumored that Hyundai engineers will prepare a stiffer chassis, larger front brakes and torque vectoring technology. This model is likely to be the fastest production car ever produced by the Korean company.
