Some time ago, it was reported that Haval was preparing a coupe-like version of the H6 crossover. However, now it became known that that information was not entirely correct. As it turned out, not the Haval H6, but the H6S will be released in a coupe-like body. Moreover, the manufacturer has prepared not only the updated exterior, but also the technical part.
Standard Haval H6
According to the official document, the new Haval H6S coupe will be equipped with a hybrid setup. It will be based on the familiar turbocharged unit with a volume of 1.5 liters, which is combined with only one electric motor. Together, they produce no more than 154 hp. useful power. Moreover, according to the same document, the average fuel consumption of such an installation will be only 4.9 liters.
New Haval H6S
The appearance of the prefix "S" in the name led to quite serious and interesting changes in the body. The presented model is now equipped with a huge trapezoidal air intake, which occupies almost the entire area of the front bumper. And the radiator grille of the Haval H6S is, in fact, a decorative insert, which is located under the edge of the hood and painted in a contrasting shade.
The front bumper contains 3 more air intakes. The side ones are complemented by barely noticeable fog lights, and the central one is partially covered by a massive plastic insert. The strip along the bottom of the side doors and the exterior mirror housings are painted in the same shade as the compact grille. This design decision gives the crossover a sportier look.
At the stern of the Chinese novelty, 2 spoilers are installed at once. The taillights have become smaller and are now connected to each other by a brake light. Decorative inserts are also provided in the aft bumper. They flank the outlets of the two tailpipes.
