Information has appeared on the Web more than once that Toyota, following the Land Cruiser 300, will present a new generation LX SUV by the end of this year. This, in particular, is said by sources close to the manufacturer. But so far, no official data from the company about the future model has been reported. Despite this, independent designers have shown what the cheapest version of the new generation Lexus LX, which will be released with a 500 index, might look like.

Judging by the published render, the Japanese premium SUV is expected to be rather spot-on (photo: instagram.com/3bdullah_alghanem). Note that the LC 300, on the basis of which the Lexus LX is being created, has undergone a larger-scale modernization. The renders show that the Japanese model will retain the large hourglass-shaped grille with a pattern formed by the intersection of thin metal bars. The novelty will also receive pointed LED DRLs characteristic of Lexus, decorating rather large head optics.
The front bumper has undergone minor correction. On its sides there are new vents with the same mesh as the grille. The rear of the Lexus LX is complemented by "through" lights, which look a little narrowed. Now they are connected with a thick enough brake light tape.
Actual model
The next generation Lexus LX is expected to receive a new, larger touchscreen display. Some sources report that the SUV could retain the 5.0-liter "naturally aspirated" engine. But it is more likely that the Lexus LX will be equipped with a 3.5-liter turbocharged engine, which is now installed on the LC 300. Its maximum output reaches 415 hp. with a thrust of 650 N * m. This engine comes with a 10-speed "automatic". According to rumors, the next generation Lexus LX will be a hybrid with a setup based on a gasoline V6. Its total output can reach 487 hp. with a maximum torque of 871 N * m.
