Toyota's luxury arm, Lexus, is preparing to update its UX crossover for the 2022 model year. The company's specialists did not make any major changes to the car. Except for little things. Yes, there will be new colors, but it is not yet known which ones. Only their official names are reported and from them one can only guess what they will be. Among them are: Grecian Water, Cadmium Orange, Cloudburst Gray, Sonic Chrome and Silver Lining Metallic.

Some information is still known about some. Grecian Water is a deep blue hue that appeared on the 2021 UX Black Line. Sonic Chrome and Cloudburst Gray are the two colors that the 2021 Lexus IS was painted in. Sonic Chrome is a shimmery silver shade. It, according to Lexus, "exhibits a metallic quality with a glossy finish."

As with the UX Black series, buyers who purchase the Premium, Luxury or F Sport packages can opt for black wheel arch fenders. The actual change besides adding new colors is the installation of the tiltable telescopic steering column. It will be available in the top-end Luxury trim level. The powertrains also remain the same. It is a two-liter four-cylinder engine with 169 hp and a hybrid version with a total output of 181 hp.

Despite the fact that the crossover has remained almost unchanged, both externally and internally, it nevertheless enjoys steady demand among American buyers and consistently brings Lexus income. The car is confidently included in the TOP-3 best-selling models of the brand, second only to the LS sedan and LX SUV.
