Lexus plans to unveil the new fourth-generation RX crossover early next year. However, the car has not yet been caught even during road tests. Despite this, independent designers have recreated the look of the Japanese novelty. Judging by the published render, the Lexus RX is expected to be radically transformed (photo: autohome.com.cn).
The current version of the Lexus RX
After the generational change, the Japanese model will become more coupe-like: its roofline now drops faster towards the stern, due to which the rear pillars have decreased in size. For the same reason, the car looks lower than the pre-reform crossover. The new Lexus RX has a larger hood, which is now located higher. The head optics are extended further and are narrower than those of the predecessor model. The radiator grill, which, while retaining its large dimensions, seemed to have dropped lower, was also larger. Under the headlights, the novelty has 2 huge cutouts for air vents, made in the shape of a boomerang. A metal insert runs along their perimeter.

The side part of the body of the presented Lexus RX has a less embossed outline than that of its predecessor. In this case, the rear wheel fenders still stand out against the background of the rest of the body. The feed, apparently, will become more vertical for the new product.
According to rumors, the new Lexus RX will be based on the proprietary TNGA platform. The Japanese crossover will retain the front- and all-wheel drive modifications. Official information about the technical part of the novelty has not yet been received. But, most likely, the car will receive the familiar 2.5-liter "aspirated" and hybrid installation, which are used in almost all the latest Toyota models.
