Japanese auto brand Lexus has officially unveiled the redesigned NX SUV during a special event in Chicago. It is reported that as a result of the generation change, the premium cross has significantly changed in terms of design, and also received a completely new platform.
If we compare the presented model with the current version of the crossover, then the new product will have several fundamental differences in appearance. So, the updated SUV received new head optics, a revised grille design and more powerful bumpers. The rear lights of the Lexus NX are now connected in a monobloc, and their filling is LED.
In addition to the exterior, the interior of the Japanese car has also undergone changes. Now in the cabin there is just a huge touch screen for multimedia control, as well as a digital instrument panel and a new unit for adjusting the parameters of the climate control system.
In terms of its power parameters, the SUV will be offered in four different versions. The base NX 260 will be equipped with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine. This is followed by the NX 350 version, equipped with a turbo unit for 2, 4 liters and an eight-speed "automatic". Two more modifications will be related to the electrification of the model. So, the 350h version will receive a hybrid engine, and the 450h + version will offer the possibility of recharging.
The list of available features of the "Japanese", as always, is on top. The manufacturer has equipped it with a video review system, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic roof and a lot of control assistants. The start of sales of the new Lexus NX will take place in the United States in the near future. The price for the SUV will be announced later.
