As you know, Land Rover is now working on a new generation of its luxury SUV Range Rover, and “spy” photos of its test prototypes have already appeared on the web. However, recently a photo of the Sport version was found on the Internet. It is worth noting that these are the first images of such a model more than a year before the car's official debut. As with the current version, the Sport is quite similar to the standard RR of the new generation.
Current Range Rover Sport
These photographs show the Range Rover Sport will receive slimmer headlamps with smaller LED DRL strips. In addition, on the prototype, the radiator grille has a rectangular shape, as opposed to a trapezoidal design, like all current models of this manufacturer. Looking at the photos of the car from the side, a large spoiler can be seen at the rear. Moreover, the sharp corner of the stern glazing is striking. These changes make the novelty more sporty and aggressive in comparison with the version of the current generation. The food in the presented images is quite heavily camouflaged, so that specific distinctive features are not noticeable. However, it seems that the windshield has become smaller and the rear itself is narrower.
New Range Rover Sport
Unfortunately, there are no photos of the interior. However, auto experts suggest that the saloons of the standard new generation Range Rover and its Sport version will not differ much. Well, as with most modern passenger cars, this model should contain several large-format digital displays.
All Range Rover versions will use a longitudinal modular architecture developed by the British company. Unlike the current generation of SUVs, the new products will be widely used aluminum, which will significantly reduce the weight of cars. Speaking of the power section, it is worth noting that it will be represented by hybrid, rechargeable and fully electric installations.
According to preliminary information, the new Range Rover will debut this year, but its sales are scheduled for next year. At the same time, the RR Sport will be officially presented only towards the end of 2022, and it will enter the market in 2023.
