The 2005 G500 Grand Edition was used as the basis for the premium off-road truck. Its transformation from a classic SUV into a pickup truck was handled by the Dutch company ikWLeenG. It is reported that work on the creation of the cargo Gelandewagen was carried out by specialists during 2014-2015. Upon completion, the company registered the created pickup truck under the name California. In general, the appearance of the novelty turned out to be very elegant, although it is perceived rather unusual, since it is quite obvious that it is based on a classic SUV (photo: bringatrailer.com).

The usual interior of the German car has not undergone adjustments, just as the standard power unit "Gelika" has not been revised - an eight-cylinder engine with a volume of 5 liters. Over the 16 years that have passed since the car was purchased by its owners in the cabin, the engine has covered 175 thousand kilometers, but there are no complaints about its operation. Together with this unit, a 5-speed "automatic" gearbox, a razdatka and 3 lockable differentials are involved.
