At the Munich Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the all-new EQE electric sedan. In terms of equipment and appearance, this model is a cheaper copy of the flagship EQS.

The novelty turned out to be a little shorter. Its length is 4934 mm (the flagship has 5265 mm) with a wheelbase of 3122 mm. At the same time, visually, both cars practically do not differ from each other. The EQE only has narrower headlights, original 19- or 20-inch rims, and a proprietary AMG body kit. It is stated that the coefficient of aerodynamic resistance of the body of the German novelty is only 0.2.

By default, the Mercedes-Benz EQE is a rear-wheel drive sedan equipped with only one 288 hp electric motor, delivering up to 530 Nm of torque. For a surcharge, another engine will be offered, which will be installed on the front axle. The sedan comes with a battery with a capacity of 90.6 kWh, which provides a power reserve of 660 kilometers.

The basis of the German novelty is the front four-link and rear multi-link suspension. The car is equipped with a system that steers the rear wheels, changing their position by 10 degrees. For a surcharge, they will also offer an adaptive system with automatically adjustable damping. So, when the sports mode is turned on, the car is lowered by 25 mm, while, as while overcoming road police officers, drivers can increase the ground clearance by the same 25 mm.

By default, Mercedes-Benz has equipped the new EQE 12 with an 8-inch touchscreen that mates with a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster. And for a surcharge, the German model is equipped with a branded Hypescreen. This screen is a 56-inch curved panel. It is divided into 3 segments. A 17.7-inch display is installed in the center, on the sides of which there are a 12.3-inch virtual instrument panel and the same screen opposite the front passenger. Also with the German novelty are a fingerprint scanner and navigation with augmented reality support.

The latest generation built-in multimedia supports multiple display options. The list of standard equipment of the Mercedes-Benz EQE includes ordinary seats, which can be replaced with bucket seats for an additional fee. Artificial leather was used in the decoration of the seats. In addition, the built-in electronics support massage, relaxation and other modes.

The security complex includes automatic emergency braking systems, head optics control, collision avoidance, lane departure and side impact prevention, tracking of "blind" zones and road signs. Production of the new Mercedes-Benz EQE will start in the middle of next year.
