Mercedes-Benz has released the first teaser image of the new AMG GT 4-door coupe, which will be one of the fastest cars ever. The German model will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 3 seconds. The official debut of the 4-door coupe is scheduled for September 1st.

It is known that the German novelty will be driven by a hybrid installation. It is based on a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with a single electric motor. Together, such a unit develops up to 805 hp. useful power, and its maximum torque reaches 1001 N * m.
Earlier it became known that the engineers of Mercedes-Benz supplemented their new product with a rear electric drive, which consists of a motor, a two-stage transmission and a limited slip differential. The specified unit produces an additional 204 hp. at the start and constant 95 hp. Also, this electric motor develops 320 N * m of torque almost instantly. Complete with the above units, they will also offer a battery with a capacity of 6, 1 kW * h. Whether the Mercedes-AMG GT will be able to drive only on electric traction and how much range the coupe will have in this case is not yet reported. The prices for the German novelty have not been announced yet either. But it will cost more than the current GT63 S, for which they ask for at least 161.9 thousand dollars.
