The large-size BT-50 pickup from Japanese automaker Mazda has a sporty exterior that is memorable. On the eve of the same Australian division of the company expanded the available capabilities of the car, introducing a version with a new diesel power unit on the market, as well as showing fresh levels of interior trim.
If we talk about a new diesel engine, then in this case we are talking about a four-cylinder unit with a volume of 1.9 liters, the output of which is 147 horsepower, and the torque reaches 350 N * m. This engine is known from the cars of the Isuzu company, on which it has been installed for a fairly long period of time.
The decision of the manufacturer Mazda to use this particular installation on the BT-50 model is, most likely, due to the fact that the pickup itself was developed jointly with the specialists of the Isuzu company. The new engine will be available exclusively for the XS truck. In the same version, the car is equipped with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, which allows it to transport goods with a total weight of 3 tons. "Shod" off-road vehicle in standard steel rims.
All other characteristics of the XS version duplicate the capabilities that are characteristic of the XT model. This means that the car has LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, multimedia with a 7-inch touchscreen, a rear-view camera, as well as a variety of various electronic assistants. In addition, the version with a 3-liter diesel unit is now also available in the SP version, which assumes the most expensive level of equipment. The debut of new modifications of the pickup is scheduled for the end of this year or the beginning of next year.
