Mazda has decided to revive the CX-7 SUV. This decision was made due to the fact that the Japanese manufacturer has lost many positions in the global crossover market. Moreover, to return the model to the market, the company intends to use the technical developments of Toyota.
The Mazda CX-7 is expected to come with a default hybrid powertrain based on the 1.5-liter engine. This unit is used today on the Toyota RAV4 and Venza in the US market. That is, even with the return of the CX-7, Mazda is still abandoning the production of hybrid vehicles based on a rotary engine.
The Japanese manufacturer has not yet announced the exact timeline within which the crossover should debut. However, a number of experts have suggested that the new Mazda CX-7 will cost about $ 30 thousand (2.19 million rubles). This price is due to the fact that the crossover will be located in the lineup between the CX-5 and CX-9.
