Japanese manufacturer Mazda is returning the CX-7 to its crossover list. The car, as expected, will sit in the middle between the compact CX-5 and the larger CX-9. According to preliminary information, the SUV will cost about 30 thousand dollars (2, 19 million rubles).

Considering the fact that over the past few years the automaker Mazda has significantly lost its position in the global crossover market, now the developer is faced with the task of strengthening its position and trying to return to the SUV segment with a wide selection of SUVs. Therefore, the company decided to revive the CX-7 model. It will have a hybrid powertrain developed by Toyota.
At the moment, one of the most promising models of the company in the crossover segment is the Mazda CX-30. But SUVs with hybrid technologies were not presented on the market. Previously, Mazda representatives focused on turbodiesel technology used in engine design, but at the moment it is not relevant. In order to successfully compete in the market with other manufacturers, the company decided to involve the automaker Toyota in the development of hybrid units.
According to experts, under the hood of the Mazda CX-7 will be installed a 1.5-liter unit with hybrid technology, which is familiar to motorists from Toyota RAV4 and Venza. Surely the revived cross will be available for purchase both in the European car market and outside the United States. At the moment, nothing has been reported about the possibility of a SUV arriving on the territory of Russia.
