Now, information has appeared on the Web that the company's management has nevertheless decided to return to this segment and is now in the process of developing a completely new model.

As the Japanese experts have found out, the Mazda management has issued 14 applications this year, which relate to the development of new models and technologies. In one of the patents, it was possible to find a schematic drawing of a two-door sports car with an aluminum frame.
On closer examination of the patent, it becomes clear that a number of body elements of the future novelty from Mazda are borrowed from the RX-Vision concept, which was shown by the developer back in 2015. In particular, the production model received a similar stern, rear fenders, as well as cuts for the lights.

What power characteristics the Japanese sports car will have has not yet been reported. According to experts, the new product from Mazda will not be equipped with a rotary unit. In all likelihood, she will get a hybrid power plant based on a six-cylinder engine. It is also possible that the sports car will be fully electrified.
