The Japanese brand Mazda has carried out a partial update of its compact hatchback Mazda 2. On the eve of the Internet there was information that the car will now be available with a new engine with 113 horsepower under the hood.
As it became known, the improved 1.5-liter Skyactiv-G unit will be added to the previously available engine range, represented by engines of 72 and 88 horsepower. This event will take place on October 1 of this year.
In addition, it became known that the manufacturer will expand the list of available hatchback trim levels. Now buyers will be able to choose among seven variations, prices for which start at 16.5 thousand pounds, which is equivalent to 1.67 million rubles. In the list of available options for any of the versions, the manufacturer will offer a full-time navigator, cruise control, air conditioning, multimedia capable of supporting wireless communication with smartphones, front seats with a heating system, a rear-view camera, and display projection.
As for the new engine, it will be offered exclusively for the most expensive modification of the GT Sport Tech, the price for which starts at 20,845 pounds. A 6-speed manual transmission will act as a pair for it. For this version of the Mazda 2, the manufacturer will offer the installation of adaptive head optics on LED-matrices, monitoring the situation in the "blind" zones, as well as parking sensors. Also, according to the information voiced by the developer, all new versions of the 1.5-liter engine now work with higher performance and less harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
