Spy photos of the upcoming Nissan e-POWER Sylphy have been leaked recently. Even though the prototype is almost entirely covered in protective camouflage, there is a lot to discuss here. These days, the novelty is in the third stage of testing in extreme conditions. The Nissan e-POWER Sylphy has previously been tested in both low and high temperatures. From the official appeal of the automaker, we learned that the new product will be officially presented at the auto show in Tianjin on September 29th. And sales will begin, presumably, at the end of this year.

If we take into account all the recent statements of the company, then we can confidently expect only minor changes in comparison with the current model. More specifically, the novelty uses the recognizable Nissan V-shaped radiator grille, only slightly increased in size. Sharp headlights will appear on either side of it, creating a sharper and more angular front end design. On the back, you can recognize the car by the e-POWER logo in the lower right corner. The dimensions of the comfortable sedan remained almost unchanged and amount to 4649/1815/1445 mm, the wheelbase is 2712 mm long.

As a power unit, the automaker offers the HR12 e-POWER unit manufactured by Dongfeng Motor Co, which combines two engines at once: a fuel volume of 1, 2 liters and an all-electric one. The first is capable of developing a maximum power of 72 hp, and the second - 136 hp. Thanks to this arrangement, fuel consumption will be only 4.1 liters per 100 kilometers.

It is worth recalling that e-POWER technology is unique to Nissan, utilizing oil-based power generation and clean electric drive. Both units work in tandem to form a system that is significantly different from traditional hybrids. Dongfeng Nissan e-POWER Sylphy will take full advantage of the electric motor, such as fast accelerator response time, low noise levels and economical operation. But at the same time, the car will also retain the advantages of internal combustion engines. These include ease of refueling and a huge range. In addition, it has recently become known that the new generation e-POWER technology has become much more efficient and smaller than its previous version.
