Opel has recently introduced a new electric car Manta, based on the model of the same name from the 70s. Despite the fact that this car is designed in the current corporate style, the features of its predecessor are guessed in it. Apparently, Nissan decided to follow the same path as the German manufacturer.
Latest version of the model
Vice President Matthew Weaver of Japan, who is now head of design for Europe, has created renderings that show a modern take on the iconic Silvia (photo: motor1.com). This model, like the Opel Manta, comes from the last century. And, as with the German car, the Japanese car featured in the published renders has retained some of its predecessor's features. Although the new Silvia is designed in a more modern style and, according to the author's idea, is equipped exclusively with electric motors.

The Japanese model has a 2-door body with an extended rear section that slopes into a slightly sloping roof. The front pillars of the novelty are heavily overwhelmed. Moreover, they are painted black, which gives the impression that the windshield is continuously passing to the side doors. The almost flat bonnet also grades into the front end, where the new Silvia has a decorative insert with compact LED lights. The presented model is devoid of a radiator grill. And its front part of the body, bending slightly, turns into a large bumper.

Nissan did not make any announcements about the possible appearance of the represented Silvia on the market. Perhaps the developers will limit themselves to publishing these renders. As a reminder, the original Silvia left the Nissan lineup in 2002.
