Opel Astra is one of the most popular models of the German manufacturer, which has been available since 1991. More recently, "spy" photos of the sixth generation of a station wagon were published on the Web. Thanks to these images, domestic designers were able to create renderings of the future Opel Astra Sports Tourer. They demonstrate what, in their opinion, the new wagon will turn out to be.

Visually, it can be assumed that the new product will have the same wheelbase as the hatchback, which had already debuted on the market earlier. As for the rear of the car, it will be transformed by reducing the loading height of the trunk, as well as moving the niche for installing numbers from the bumper to the door (photo: kolesa.ru). But the design of the aft lights, it seems, will not be adjusted.
If we talk about the new generation Opel Astra, then it is built on the basis of the EMP2 architecture, on which the last Peugeot 308 is also based. The distance between the axles of the German model of the sixth generation is 2675 mm. What dimensions the station wagon body will have is not yet clear. Surely, the power characteristics of the German car will coincide with the capabilities of the Peugeot 308 (by analogy with the hatchback).

The Astra Sports Tourer is expected to debut early next year. By the way, the new generation of the German model may be available in Russia as well. Previously, the manufacturer did not exclude such a possibility, voicing the updated development strategy of the company in the Russian car market. So far, no data on the cost of the German car and the timing of its debut in the Russian Federation have been named.
