Mitsubishi is now selling 2 versions of the Outlander crossover in the Chinese market at once: new and old generations. Now there is information indicating that the manufacturer is preparing a third modification of this model. At the current Chongqing Auto Show, Mitsubishi unveiled images of the latest Airtrek electric crossover, which looks a lot like the latest generation Outlander.

The electric car also has a sculpted body with a large grille, the perimeter of which is framed by wide metal strips that go under the narrow head optics. The front bumper also contains a large center air intake. However, in the presented novelty, an additional block of lights is already placed closer to the head optics. The rear of the Airtrek is less sloping than the Outlander. The feed of the electric crossover is more compact. The rear optics are designed in the style of Chinese SUVs with their Y-shaped lamps.

The interior of the presented model has a design unique for Mitsubishi. The published images show that the transmission tunnel of the novelty is located high. It rests against the protruding part of the front panel, on which there are 2 airflow deflectors, and on top there is a wide touchscreen monitor. A display of this size is not fitted to any Mitsubishi model.

Airtrek specifications have not yet been announced. The GAC, with which Mitsuhishi was developing the new model, is expected to provide the crossover with an 184-horsepower electric motor developing up to 350 Nm of torque. Airtrek's cruising range will be about 500 or 600 kilometers.
