Recently, the Japanese car company Mitsubishi posted on the Web an official teaser for a new version of the Outlander crossover with a rechargeable plug-in hybrid. In this video, arguably the fastest SUV in the lineup has a heavy camouflage camouflage pattern.

In terms of appearance, the Outlander PHEV will have a design similar to the recently unveiled version of the cross with a traditional internal combustion engine. At the front, there will be a branded massive radiator grille, applied to all the latest models of the Japanese manufacturer. Head optics will receive a "two-story" design. The turn signals and LED DRLs here will be located just below the edge of the bonnet, while the main lighting units will be located exactly in the middle of the front end. Below them are small fog lights.

In the interior, no significant difference is expected between the PHEV version and the conventional ICE model. However, the manufacturer claims that in the rechargeable version of the crossover, great attention has been paid to the quality of the interior materials.
Three rows of seats will be available as standard. In addition, two digital displays will be offered: a 12.3-inch serves as the dashboard, while a 9-inch touchscreen on the center console serves as a multimedia system control. She, by the way, basically supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In more expensive modifications, the car will receive 20-inch wheels, 10.8-inch multimedia display, premium BOSE audio system with 10 speakers and Mi-Pilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system.
Judging by the previously received messages from the manufacturer, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will be equipped with a lithium-ion battery with an energy capacity of 13.8 kWh. In all-electric mode, the car can travel up to 100 kilometers on a single charge, which is more than the Toyota RAV4. At the same time, the power of the electric motor is 80 hp, and its maximum torque is 137 N * m. The timing of the launch of the new version of the crossover has not yet been stipulated, but it is expected that this will happen within a year.
