The Kia Seltos has proven to be a very successful product for the Korean brand. Therefore, it is not surprising that the manufacturer is constantly developing this model, offering more and more new versions. So, recently the Indian division of Kia published photos of the Seltos X.
Standard crossover version
The crossover in this performance is not much different from its other modifications. In fact, the car received only slightly redesigned bumpers and new rims with a diameter of 18 inches. At the same time, Kia engineers have made changes to the shape of the grille. All of the tweaks taken together made the Seltos look more like a sporty crossover. This is also emphasized by the contrasting inserts that stretch along the underside of the body.
New Seltos X
The Seltos X is believed to be one of the variations of the GT Line modification. This is evidenced by the fact that the car, in addition to the specified modifications, did not receive any changes. Even the interior seems to have remained the same. Inside the Korean model, a multimedia complex with a 10, 25-inch touchscreen monitor is still installed. The technical part of the crossover also remained unchanged. In the Indian market, the Seltos is sold with a 1.5-liter turbo diesel and a 1.4-liter turbo engine.
While Kia prepares the new modification for market launch, an independent designer has posted his take on how the Korean model might change. The renders presented by him reveal Seltos from a completely different side: the crossover has visually acquired premium features (photo: instagram.com/sdesyn). This happened because when developing this model, the designer focused on the Mercedes-Maybach SUV.

The result is the Seltos, tinted deep white with original, brighter optics that have undergone minor adjustments. The designer installed a new grille with a chrome mesh and increased the ground clearance by placing larger wheels of the original design. Also, the exterior of the crossover was replenished with additional metal inserts and plates.
But despite such a high popularity, Seltos is not without a lot of disadvantages. Russian engineers disassembled the Korean model and showed what disadvantages it has. So, Seltos, even in top-end performance, cannot boast of high-quality sound insulation. The car features a stiff suspension and a compact luggage compartment. In addition, the engineers paid attention to the fragile windshield and the presence of rubber components with a short service life. This drawback is especially pronounced in the seals, due to the poor quality of which water constantly penetrates into the car interior.
