Jaguar has carried out a planned update of the F-Pace crossover. The car will be the prototype for future models of the British brand. At the same time, the new F-Pace borrowed some of the solutions from the Range Rover.

Externally, the British crossover looks similar to its predecessor. Upon closer inspection, however, there is a significant difference between the two versions of the F-Pace. The novelty was equipped with another head optics, which has become narrower. Slim LED lights were installed at the stern of the crossover. Jaguar engineers redesigned the F-Pace's bonnet and both bumpers. The front one was replenished with three extended air intakes, which made the crossover look more like a sports car. At the same time, the diamond-patterned radiator grille was slightly enlarged.

The manufacturer has abandoned the old finishing materials in the new F-Pace. In particular, the crossover received abrasion-resistant plastic. The interior of the British model has a new steering wheel borrowed from the I-Pace electric car. And from the Range Rover F-Pace got the seats. The interior of the British crossover has been replenished with a new transmission tunnel with larger cup holders and an additional storage compartment.

From the Defender introduced last year, the F-Pace has moved on to a multimedia setup with an 11.4-inch curved touchscreen monitor. Together with it, the crossover received a platform for wireless charging of gadgets and climatic equipment with an air ionization function in the cabin.

Complete with the new F-Pace, 6 power units are offered at once, each of which is combined with a plug-in all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The main feature of this model was the emergence of a plug-in hybrid installation with a 2-liter turbocharged engine at the base. It is matched with a 141-horsepower electric motor. On one electric traction, this version of the F-Pace overcomes about 53 kilometers.

The 4 internal combustion engines available to the crossover are complemented by 48-volt on-board electronics. The F-Pace is equipped with two turbo diesel engines developing up to 161 and 296 hp. power respectively. At the top of the range of engines is a turbocharged unit with an electric supercharger, the output of which is increased to 395 hp. Cheaper versions are offered with a 2-liter supercharged gasoline engine with 247 hp.
