JAC has announced the start of sales of the updated Sunray minibus. This model is being assembled today at a Belarusian enterprise and will soon begin to be supplied to Russia. In this case, it will seriously compete with GAZelle NN. According to the published information, the updated Sunray is offered in several modifications at a price of 137.7-187.7 thousand yuan (1.58-2.16) million rubles. One of the features of the Chinese model is that after the modernization, it received an engine, some parts of which do not require maintenance.
The novelty has practically not changed externally. The manufacturer slightly modified the front optics and corrected the bumper. Also, the interior of the minibus remained unchanged. As before, Sunray will also be available in a 9-seat version for corporate clients. Such a modification of the minibus is unlikely to enter the Russian market.
The total length of the updated JAC Sunary is 5450 mm with a wheelbase of 3360 mm. The car stretches 2080 mm in width and 2395 mm in height. The tailgate can be opened at a 270 degree angle, providing up to 500 mm of free space for transporting long items.
The Chinese novelty has a sturdy load-bearing body, and a number of its modifications provide for all-wheel drive. JAC Sunray is equipped with indicators for monitoring wheel pressure, warning systems for locking brakes, keeping in lane, collision avoidance and tracking. Under the hood of the minibus, a choice of 2 or 2, 2-liter turbodiesel engines are installed. It is not excluded that the updated Sunray will soon go to the Belarusian car plant, as they assemble a car from ready-made car sets.
