Chinese automaker JAC unveiled the all-new SIHAO X4 compact crossover at the recently concluded Shanghai Auto Show. This model is the first of the SIHAO direction and is positioned by the developer as a guideline as to how the future models of the brand will look in the near future.

Review of the new SUV JAC SIHAO X4
The new SUV is, in fact, a deeply modernized version of the JAC S4 cross, which the company began to produce back in 2018. The main difference between the new X4 and any other models of the manufacturer is its appearance. The SUV design has been completely redesigned. Here we can note the separate design of the head optics and taillights. The air intake grille is also segmented into top and bottom sections. On the side, the cross has received complex stamping, making it stand out from the background of many competitors, and the feed looks a little bloated. Overall, the exterior design has a distinctly sporty focus.
The length of the body of the Chinese cross is 4410 mm, and the width and height are 1800 and 1660 mm, respectively. The center-to-center distance is 2620 mm. The luggage compartment, despite the compact size of the car, is capable of accommodating 520 liters of transported cargo even in its standard form, and the unfolded rear seats will increase the volume to 1,000 liters.
The interior of the crossover is dominated by a bi-color red and black finish with the addition of aluminum decor. The car is equipped with a digital instrument panel, a 10-inch multimedia control display, which is capable of performing voice commands. In addition, in the list of possibilities, even the basic variation of the JAC SIHAO X4 can be noted climate control with a touch panel and a car parking system. In the top version, the "Chinese" is equipped with adaptive cruise control, LED optics and an electric sunroof.
Under the hood, this model has a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a maximum power of 149 horsepower. A pair of it can be a continuously variable variator or a manual transmission for 6 gears. The leading drive is exclusively front-wheel drive. The price of a crossover in the home market is in the region of 900 thousand - 1 million rubles. Towards the middle of this year, JAC SIHAO X4 should arrive on the Russian market. In terms of dimensions, the closest competitor to the Chinese car is the Volkswagen Tiguan.
