About a day after images showing the exterior and interior were published on the Web, Renault officially unveiled the new Megane E-Tech Electric electric crossover. The debut of the car took place at the Munich Motor Show.

The French model is based on the CMF-EV platform. This "cart" is based on the Nissan Ariya, which will soon arrive on the Russian market. The length of the French model reaches 4210 mm with a wheelbase of 2700 mm. That is, the crossover is compact in size, but at the same time offers a spacious interior.

The new product comes with 20-inch wheels. However, its height is only 1500 mm. To improve aerodynamic performance, the Megane E-Tech Electric handles are flush with the doors. Moreover, this feature can be traced in all modifications of the electric crossover. And the handles of the second row of doors are hidden in the C-pillars.

Externally and internally, the French novelty bears little resemblance to the standard Megane. The electric crossover features a sloping body, the shape of which has been refined to improve aerodynamics. In the salon of the French model, there is a large digital instrument panel, which is combined with a touchscreen monitor. But the touchscreen of the novelty drops quite low, ending near the block with physical keys. The diagonal of the first display is 12.3 inches, the second is 12 inches. The touchscreen has a resolution of 1250x1562, which Renault claims is one of the best in a modern car.

The fabric upholstery and other interior details are made from recycled materials. In general, the French novelty stands out for its high environmental friendliness. It is stated that 95% of the car's design will be completely recyclable.

As a standard, the crossover is equipped with one 130-horsepower engine, which produces up to 250 N * m of tractive torque. Optionally, an electric unit with a return of 218 hp is offered with it. and 300 N * m. The top-end Megane E-Tech Electric gains the first 100 km / h in 7.4 seconds, and its top speed is limited to 160 km / h. Together with the crossover, they will offer 2 batteries with a capacity of 40 and 60 kWh, providing a power reserve of 300 and 470 kilometers, respectively. Orders for the French novelty will begin to be accepted at the end of next winter. The shipment of commercial samples of the crossover starts a month after that.
