The French brand Renault has begun testing a new generation of the budget Logan sedan in Russia. The car was spotted by photo spies the day before while driving along the roads of Kislovodsk.
New Renault Logan Stepway on tests
Judging by the fact that impressive ground clearance is clearly visible in the photographs, as well as the plastic body kit of the car body, we can conclude that the company has begun testing the cross version of the "Frenchman" (photo: rg.ru). Apparently, this model is a new generation of Renault Logan Stepway.
As you know, the next generation Logan and Sandero are built by the automaker on the basis of the latest CMF-B platform. As before, the crossover version of the sedan differs from the classic version by increased ground clearance, more powerful wheel discs, and a protective body kit. The published photos do not disclose what changes will occur to the interior of the Logan Stepway version, which will be sold on the Russian market. Apparently, the interior will be made in the same style as the new Dacia Logan, which is already available in Europe. There is also no official information about the power characteristics of the updated car.
Actual model
The production of a new generation of popular French models in Russia is expected to be organized next year. The place where the cars are assembled will not change. As before, the finished cars will roll off the assembly line of the Russian AvtoVAZ. The price of the new cross-version of the budget Logan remains unknown. For reference, the purchase of the current modification of the Logan Stepway costs Russian motorists at least 843 thousand rubles.
