Official dealers of Bentley cars in the Russian Federation have started selling the premium crossover Bentayga equipped with a 4.0 liter V8 petrol turbo engine. It should be noted that this is already the third version of the car that is sold in our market. Until now, the crossover was only available with a 4.0-liter diesel unit and a 6.0-liter gasoline engine.
So, the new 8-cylinder turbocharged engine will have a power of 550 horses. An automatic 8-speed transmission and an all-wheel drive system will work with the unit. With such a unit, the novelty will be dispersed to the first "hundred parts" in just 4.5 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 290 kilometers per hour. It is known that the minimum configuration of this version will cost the buyer 12,990 thousand rubles. By the way, the diesel version of the crossover costs 500,000 rubles less, and the version with a six-liter petrol unit in the basic version costs from 16 million rubles.
It should be remembered that this luxurious and expensive crossover is equipped with a whole list of modern systems and options. It includes adaptive cruise control, a traffic sign recognition system, a camera for all-round visibility, as well as a tracking function for "blind" zones when driving in reverse gear. The cabin houses a head-up display and an infrared night vision system. It perfectly detects obstacles on the road, even in complete darkness. In addition, the front console houses an information and media system with an 8-inch display. Additionally, the screen is equipped with a touchscreen.
It should be recalled that this British crossover is produced exclusively by prior order of the buyer. Such luxurious models are not launched into the series so that there is no “stagnation” in the manufacturer's warehouses. For the first time, the car appeared at Russian dealers in 2016. In just 12 months, 169 copies of the luxury cross were sold. A year later, 149 units of Bentley Bentayga were sold through the dealer network.
Company officials in Russia note that the new petrol version is not the latest. Most likely, by December 2018, the head management of the brand will launch another version of the car on sale, which will be equipped with a powerful hybrid system. The hybrid crossover is expected to be very popular around the world as it meets all modern standards and boasts low fuel consumption.
